After a disappointing Halloween in 1981, Troy decided to work on plans for something a bit more than just another Halloween. Troy began working with Tim on plans for another concert. The plan was to do it to help raise money for Muscular Dystrophy. This would give the group a chance to regain the spotlight and raise money for a good cause. During the planning, Troy talked to Joey and it looked as if Joey would be rejoining the group. Troy tried to secure the use of Patterson auditorium for the concert, but by late July they had received a message that they were not able to use Patterson auditorium. At the same time, they were having problems with Joey committing to the group.
With the idea for another concert eliminated due to time issues and not having a complete line-up in place, the next step was to focus on Halloween. There was enough time to coordinate everything and if all went well, the group could have another good year. The costumes were still toned down and easy to make. By this time Troy had gotten married and was living back in the Bay Area which made coordinating things much easier.

Troy was able to recruit Tim's brother Mark to fill the Ace Frehley position and Charles Duck came back to the group to fill the spot of Eric Carr. Costumes were made without any issues, but did need a few finishing touches on Halloween day.

Halloween arrived and the group got ready at Troy's house. They started getting ready early in the afternoon and by about 6:00 p.m. they were ready to go. Before heading out for the night, they spent about a half hour taking some pictures. Once they finished with pictures they headed out to see friends and family. From there it was on to Olivera Elementary which was the only school having a carnival that night. They attracted some attention at Olivera, but not like they had in the past. After spending some time at Olivera they headed back to Troys and took a few more photos before calling it a night. This year was not bad, but it was no where near as good as 1978 or 1980. The guys were happy with the time they had even though it wasn't up to what they hoped it would be.

This year the members were Mark Branson as Ace Frehley, Tim Branson as Paul Stanley,
Troy Correia as Gene Simmons, and Charles Duck as Eric Carr.

In October, KISS had released a new album titled Creatures of the Night. No photos of the band in their new costumes surfaced until November. The photos revealed that KISS were back to wearing wild costumes. This set the wheels turning for Troy to look forward to another year of the KISS Impersonators.
