Jack was one of the original members in 1976, but was dropped from the group when he would not put in his share for the cost of the make-up. He rejoined in 1977. He left for the filming of the KISS and the Mad Scientist movie in 1979, but returned for Halloween that year. Jack finally left the group for good on October 30, 1980, the night before Halloween.

You were originally going to be in the group the first year, but didn't want to put up the money at that time for the make-up. At that moment, Dean Gulbrandson offered to put in money if he could be in the group and since Troy had to leave shortly to buy the make-up, Dean replaced you in the group. Do you regret not coming up with the money and being in the group that first year?

Yes I did because once I got in, it was fun.

You assumed the role of Paul Stanley in 1977 after Troy felt Dean was not a good fit to play Paul. Was Paul your favorite member of the band? If not, who was/is your favorite member?

Yes, Paul Stanley was my favorite.

Did you ever want to play someone else in the group?

No, Paul was my favorite.

How did you feel about dressing up at the time (and doing concerts and photo shoots)?

It was fun and exciting.

What made you decide to leave the group for the filming of the movie KISS and the Mad Scientist?

I'm not really sure.

Do you regret not being part of that?

Yes I did.

You finally quit the group for good the day before Halloween 1980. What made you decide to leave at the last minute?

I think it was a time that I met my girlfriend.

Do you regret quitting when you did?

Yes.

What was your favorite year of dressing up?

1979.

Would you change anything about your time/experience in the group?

Probably nothing, it was all fun.

Is there anything else you wish the group could have done (more concerts, television, appearances for Walt's Productions, etc.) while you were in it?

No, not really.

What is your best memory of being in the group?

They were all great memories, but I think the best one was doing the concert in my backyard.

What other memories, stories, or comments do you want to share or make about the group or members?

They were all great memories and all great friends had a blast.

Do you have any of your old costumes?

No I do not.

Looking at these pictures after all these years, what are your thoughts?

Great pictures. Great times. Great friends.

Have you ever dressed up as a member of KISS since leaving the group?

No I have not.

Would you ever dress up like a member of KISS again?

Probably not, but you never know.

Any final words or thoughts?

Like I said, it was fun great times great friends. I wish I could have done it for a couple more years, but things happen.
