Paul was an original member of the group that started in 1976. Although he was in the group for three years, he chose not participate in the first concert in June 1978. He remained in the group until just after Halloween 1978.

1. What is your best memory of being in the group?

I would say all the smiles we brought to peoples faces when we went out in public together. Looking back, we really were ahead of the times with our costumes and makeup. Had the real KISS members had the opportunity to see us, I believe they would have said we did them proud.

2. What other memories, stories, or comments do you want to share or make about the group or members?

The first thing that comes to mind is Troy's passion, dedication, and commitment to the history of our KISS experience. It truly is amazing!

3. You played three different members in the three years you were in the group. Which one was your favorite to play?

I must admit, my memory has faded. But, my last year as Peter Criss sticks with me most. I felt like everything was spot on that year; the hair, the makeup, and the costume.

4. Was that your favorite member of the band?

I liked Peter Criss a lot, but I have to say Gene Simmons was my favorite. He just had an aura and presence about him that stood out. I always thought of Gene as the leader and engine that made the band go.

5. Did you ever want to play the part of Paul Stanley?

Oh... no... I was a very, timid and shy kid. Paul Stanley was flamboyant and front and center; the complete opposite of my personality.

6. Would you have rather played just one character all three years?

No, I don't think so. Playing all three were good experience.

7. How did you feel about dressing up at the time?

With the great costumes and makeup came attention. Because I was a shy kid, I remember it as being very uncomfortable.

8. You chose not to participate in the bands first concert. For the second concert you were replaced since the group figured you would choose not participate in that one as well. Looking back, do you wish you would have been a part of the concerts?

Good call. You guys figured right! Lol Yes, and no. If I'm being totally honest, I truly believe those experiences helped get me past my shyness and fears. Fast forward 20 plus years and who would of thought I would be performing on a bodybuilding stage in posing trunks? Probably no one. Lol

9. What made you decide to leave the group?

I honestly don't remember. More than likely, because I was so timid and shy back then.

10. Do you regret quitting when you did?

More than likely, I was relieved.

11. What was your favorite year of dressing up?

1978 as Peter Criss.

12. Would you change anything about your time/experience in the group?

Not at all. I personally believe ALL experiences (good and bad) help mold us to be the person we are meant to be.

13. Do you have any of your old costumes?

Yes! Troy recently sent me a few items from my last year as Peter Criss. Which I am truly grateful for and keep them on display in my home gym/sport room.

14. Looking at these pictures after all these years, what are your thoughts?

Good times with good people. We were way ahead of our time. We did KISS proud!

15. Have you ever dressed up as a member of KISS since leaving the group?

I have not.

16. Would you ever dress up like a member of KISS again?

Definitely!

17. Any final words or thoughts?

I would like to thank everyone in the group and especially Troy for the opportunity to be a part of something very special.
