Tim joined the group on the evening of October 30, 1980 as a replacement for Jack Standish who unexpectedly quit the group earlier that day. Tim slipped in to the role of Paul Stanley great. He remained in the group for two more years before leaving in early 1983.

You joined the group the night before Halloween 1980 after Jack quit the group at the last minute. How did you feel about the group asking you to join at the last minute?

I felt honored and a little excited at first.

After dressing up that first time, did you think this would be something you would do for two more years?

I didn’t really think about that at the time. I thought maybe it was for one year till Jack came back, thought I was just a fill-in for that one year.

Was Paul your favorite member of the band? If not, who was/is your favorite member?

Actually, yes, I did like Paul the most. Because he got all the women!

Did you ever want to play someone else in the group?

No, I was happy with Paul Stanley, but I often wondered what I would look like with Gene, Ace, or Peter’s makeup.

How did you feel about dressing up at the time?

I really thought it was cool because Troy did such a fantastic job with the costumes and it was just exciting to put on something he worked so hard to make.

What made you decide to leave the group?

I honestly don’t remember, but I’m sure it had to do with a girl.

Do you regret quitting when you did?

Honestly, no, I didn’t regret it. I guess it was just time to move on.

Do you have any of your old costumes?

Uh, somewhere, in a box maybe?

Looking at these pictures after all these years, what are your thoughts?

My thoughts are just what an awesome time we had and how fantastic the costumes were and how great we looked in them.

Have you ever dressed up as a member of KISS since leaving the group?

No.

Would you ever dress up like a member of KISS again?

Yes

Any final words or thoughts?

My final thoughts would just be how fantastic Troy put everything together, and his memory of the events and keeping all these photos. He was a very dedicated member.
